Guest Post + Review + Giveaway: The Couple by Harlie Williams

Welcome Harlie Williams

About the Author

I’m just a city girl living in a small East Texas town. As a child, I devoured books but writing a book was never in the equation. Teaching literature to high school students was my goal. After being in a corporate cube for over 25 years, I’m a stay at home mom. I started writing as a dare and here I am. I’m married to my own hero and a mother to an awesome son. He has no idea that his momma wrote a book. He just knows that momma spends a lot of time on the computer.

As I’m typing up this post it is pouring down rain.  I love it when it rains but it’s also cold.  Cold and rain do not get along with me.  It can be one or the other, just not both.  I live in Texas, so I should be happy with the rain and cold.  Considering that by July, I will not be able to open the door without a blast furnace hitting me in the face and rain will be a distant memory.  Yes, folks it gets that hot in Texas.  I should be used to it since I’ve lived in Texas for 43 of my 46 years on this planet.  But nope, I still don’t like summers in Texas.

Spring is the best season in Texas.  My allergies don’t like it but I love it.  The flowers are blooming in spring and we get rain, too.   Woo Hoo!  Plus, with spring, the bluebonnets are out.   The Bluebonnet is the state flower of Texas.  It’s actually purple but shhhh, don’t tell anyone.  Here is a picture of fields of bluebonnets that was taken in the Texas Hill Country.  Beautiful aren’t they?

That picture alone is why I love spring in Texas.  They are everywhere and plentiful.  Drive on any highway, back road or dirt road and people have pulled to the side of the road to take pictures with their kids, dogs, anybody.  It’s a traditional in Texas.  You must have a picture of your child with the bluebonnets.  Sadly, the pictures that I have taken with our son are awful and I won’t ever share them.  We are hoping that this year we will get that perfect picture.  *fingers crossed*

So what’s your favorite season where you live?  I’ve heard rumors that some people up north actually like the snow.  What’s snow?  We don’t get that much in Texas.  I have been to Chicago during the winter and played in the snow.  It was great but it took my toes days to thaw out.  Not to mention my nose.  Wow, you know that your nose could freeze?  Apparently, not me.  LOL!

A woman has one thing on her mind tonight…sex. Dirty, sweaty, kinky sex with a cowboy. With her man gone more than he is at home, she needs the release.

After being away for two weeks, a cowboy goes looking for someone to play with for the night. Being away is part of the job but not having someone to come home to is hurting his soul. Feeling disconnected in his love life, the red head will be perfect.

Once they meet, can one night of pure passion led to more than just a one night stand for either of them? Communication is the key to every relationship. Can these two find a way to connect emotionally or are they destined for heartache.

Warning: This title is intended for readers over the age of 18 as it contains adult sexual situations (including BDSM/light bondage) and adult language and may be considered offense to some readers.

If you are like me and enjoy reading that erotic scene from your favorite novel repeatedly – then this is recommended for you. This novella is a rapidly-paced tale about two ostensibly lonely strangers with incredible chemistry hooking up for one-night of uninhibited pleasure. The author took on the seemingly insurmountable task of fitting all the combustible passion in such a miniature package, just 20 pages - - she succeeded.
