Where’s the hottest new date spot…
A New York City dance club?
An expensive celebrity chef owned restaurant?
A standing room only rock concert?
None of the above! The hottest date spot is…wait for it...
Your local museum!
Think about it, museums are affordable, filled with conversation starters, and, unless you live in a remote area, are pretty easy to find.
If you go, here are a few things to remember:
Size Does Matter: If you live in a city with more than one museum, choose a small, manageable venue. For example, you’ll have a better experience strolling around Washington, DC’s Hirshhorn art museum than dodging a bunch of kids sugared up on astronaut ice cream at the Air and Space.
Time Out: 1 – 1 ½ hours is the perfect span for museum meanders. Anything more and someone is bound to get bored.
Three’s A Crowd: Skip the guided tour and venture out into the world of art on your own. You’ll have fun and get to know each other without having to follow a talking head around. Ditto on the headphones.
No Worries if You’re Not an Art Expert: Don’t worry if you don’t know who painted the Starry Night or even the Mona Lisa. You’re there for a date; the artwork is secondary. If you really want to impress him, cheat a little and check out the museum’s website for featured works of art. Learn a few facts so when you get to that piece you’ll have something fabulously interesting to say.
Have a Game Plan: If the date’s not working, shake hands in the lobby and go your separate ways. If you want don’t want it to end, move the date to a café, restaurant or bar.
In Tie Me Free, Kate Angel needs a crash course in kink and turns to an online Dominance and submission website for education. After a cyber exchange, she agrees to meet Mason Myers at a museum. In this scene, Mason, who shares Kate’s love of art, suggests they meet at New York’s Guggenheim Museum.
A new message from Mason M. via Domsublife sat in her inbox. “Let’s see what you have to say, Mr. M.” Kate clicked the message.
Lichtenstein’s use of layering color to mimic newsprint was quite ingenious. He was the maverick of the art world.
“I guess he does know his art,” Kate snorted as a chat box appeared on her screen.
Mason M: I believe both Warhol and Lichtenstein are represented at the Pop Art exhibit at the Guggenheim this week. Why don’t we meet to finish this discussion?
Kate raised her eyebrows. Mr. M cuts right to the chase. She’d heard things progressed quickly in the world of BDSM. It was a world she had no intention of entering.
Katie A: I don’t think so. I’m not interested in hooking up with someone.
Mason M: Hooking up? Do people even say that anymore?
Kate snorted. “An art lover and a comedian. Interesting.” Her fingers clicked along the keyboard.
Katie A: Very funny. I’m sure you know what I mean.
Mason M: I’m just surprised to find someone who appreciates modern art here. The Guggenheim is a safe meeting place. Lots of people. Lots of security. What do you have to lose except an afternoon spent viewing art?

The Satin Rose Experience, New York’s elite BDSM club residing on the twentieth floor of Rosebud Resorts, contains ten uniquely themed suites, each with its own story to tell.
She’s forty and vanilla…he’s twenty-eight and…not.
Score one for Kate Angel. She’s just signed the hottest erotica author to her start up publishing house, Angel Books, but she needs a crash course in kink to appease her demanding client. Creating a Domsublife.com profile seems like an innocent way to do her homework and satisfy her curiosity.
Mason Myers has lived a lifetime in his twenty-eight years. The product of an Irish orphanage, he grew up fast to overcome his lonely, humble beginnings to become the successful businessman he is today. He's also an experienced Dom at the Satin Rose Experience, an elite BDSM club in New York City.
A mutual appreciation for modern art establishes their online connection. Mason convinces Kate to meet him at the Guggenheim museum’s erotica exhibit where she reveals her fascination in the art of rope bondage, known as Shibari. Introducing her to the ancient art within the safety of the club, Mason helps Kate surrender her deep-seated hang-ups about her age and body image.
As the physical and emotional ties that bind her into the submissive of his fantasies tighten, can Kate learn to break the emotional tethers ruling her life and embrace the freedoms they bestow?
